What happens, day by day
No surprises. This is how the free report and the trial work.

Your first report is free
On iPhone, open the app and go straight in: no account, no card. In a browser, make a free account with your email or Google: no card. Then do one real report.
- When ready
Start the Pro free trial
You need Pro to export and send PDFs and to keep making reports. New subscribers get a free trial: 3 days in the iPhone app, 14 days on the web. In the iPhone app the trial runs through your Apple ID, so a payment method is on file; on the web you add a card. Nothing is taken during the trial.

Last chance to cancel for free
For a trial started through Apple, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you pay nothing. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. For a trial started on the web, cancel under Plan and billing in the web app before it ends.

Seats and invoicing are separate monthly subscriptions and need Pro. They are not part of the Pro trial, so they are charged from the day you add them.

What an engineer seat is
Maintivo is for the owner plus 1 to 5 engineers.
A seat is a place on your team
You invite an engineer by email. They sign in on their own phone and fill in reports using your forms. They never pay anything, and they do not need a subscription or a trial of their own.
- They see their own reports, not anyone else's
- They do not see invoices, prices or company settings
- You see every report, export the PDF and send it to the customer
- If someone leaves, you remove them. Their reports stay with you, and the seat is free for the next person
How you pay
Seats have no free trial. The free trial is for Maintivo Pro. A seat pack is charged from the day you add it.
In the iPhone app: through the App Store, like any other subscription. App Store prices include VAT. It covers the web app as well, for you and your team.
By card in the web app: under Plan and billing, on any phone, tablet or computer. The card payment is handled by Stripe, and the prices are the same as in the App Store.
You only ever pay once, and a plan is managed where it was bought: in your Apple ID settings for an App Store purchase, or under Plan and billing for a card purchase.

Do I need a card to try it?
Not for your first report. On iPhone you do not need an account either; in a browser you make a free account. To start the Pro free trial you need a payment method: on iPhone, on your Apple ID, the same as any App Store subscription; on the web, a card. The trial is 3 days in the iPhone app, 14 days on the web. Nothing is taken if you cancel before it ends (for a trial through Apple, at least 24 hours before).
What do I need Pro for?
To export and send report PDFs, and to keep making reports after your first one. Your first report is free so you can see the form and the result on a real job before you decide.
What happens when the trial ends?
Pro becomes £34.99 a month and renews monthly until you cancel. For a subscription bought through the App Store you cancel in your iPhone settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions). For a card subscription you cancel under Plan and billing in the web app.
Can I pay by card instead of through Apple?
Yes. You can subscribe in the iPhone app through Apple, or by card in the web app under Plan and billing, and you cancel a card subscription there too. The prices are the same either way.
Does one subscription cover the iPhone app and the web app?
Yes. A subscription belongs to your company's account, not to a device. Buy it once and it covers both, for you and your team.
I work alone. Do I need a seat?
No. Pro covers you. Seats are only for other people you add.
I have 2 engineers. Which pack?
The 3 pack at £24.99. Seats come as one pack of 1, 3 or 5, so two engineers need the 3 pack, and you have one spare for the next person you take on.
More than five engineers?
Email support@maintivo.com. The biggest pack you can buy yourself is 5 seats, so the largest team you can set up on your own is the owner plus five engineers. We will sort out a bigger team with you directly.
Is invoicing included?
No. It is an optional extra at £9.99 a month, and it is not part of the Pro trial. Everything to do with reports works without it.
Is there a contract, a set-up fee or an exit fee?
No, no and no. It is monthly. Stop whenever you like.
Do the prices include VAT?
Bought through the App Store, yes: UK App Store prices include VAT, so the price on this page is what you pay. If you pay by card in the web app, the price is the same and the checkout shows the full amount before you pay.
