A Joblogic alternative with F-Gas and CP12 built in, and no annual term
Joblogic is one of the few platforms that takes F-Gas seriously, so this is a fair fight. The difference is the 12 to 36 month term, the per-user price and the partial offline mode. Maintivo does the compliance records on an iPhone, fully offline, for £34.99 a month.

What is Joblogic, and who is it for?
Joblogic is field service management software aimed at growing service and maintenance firms. According to their website it covers scheduling, stock, invoicing and reporting, and it has a dedicated F-Gas compliance module alongside the CP12. Pricing starts from about £45 per user per month billed annually, on terms of 12 to 36 months. Offline working is described as partial at the time of writing.
Maintivo is an iPhone app, plus a web app for Android and any browser, for UK sole traders and small trade teams (the owner plus up to five engineers). It does the inspection and the record, not the business. No planner, no stock, no reporting suite. It has the compliance forms a gas or HVAC engineer uses most, working with no signal in the iPhone app, at a monthly price with no term.

Joblogic details from their public website, September 2026.
When Joblogic is the right choice
- You have a planner in the office pushing the day out to engineers. Joblogic's scheduler is the centre of the product. Maintivo has none.
- You hold stock, raise purchase orders and want parts costed against jobs.
- You run planned maintenance contracts for clients who want dashboards and SLA tracking.
- You have more than five engineers, or are growing towards it, and want one system to grow into.
If that is you, Joblogic is a credible platform, and it takes compliance more seriously than most.
When Maintivo is the right choice
- You are a sole trader or a small team (the owner plus up to five engineers) and the compliance records are the job, not one module among twenty.
- You do not want to sign for 12 to 36 months before you know it fits.
- Everyone on the team is an engineer, so per-user pricing hurts and you would rather pay per business.
- You work in plant rooms and basements, where partial offline means a form that will not save.
- You want engineers to see jobs and forms, and nothing about money.
What does a 12 to 36 month term cost a four-person firm?
Take an admin and three engineers. At Joblogic's published starting price of about £45 per user per month, four users is £180 a month, or £2,160 a year, billed up front. On a 36-month term that is £6,480 committed on day one.
The same four people on Maintivo is Pro at £34.99 plus a 3-seat pack at £24.99. That is £59.98 a month, about £720 a year, and you can stop next month. Over three years the gap is roughly £4,300. With the £9.99 invoicing add-on it is still under £850 a year.
That does not make Joblogic bad value. You get a scheduler, stock and reporting for the money. The question is whether four people will use them enough to earn it back.
Both do F-Gas. What is the difference?
Joblogic has a dedicated F-Gas module and we will not pretend otherwise. Here is exactly what Maintivo does, so you can compare like for like on a demo.
On the Split AC/VRF leak check and the Chiller service forms you choose the refrigerant and enter the charge in kilograms. Supported gases are R32, R410A, R134a, R407C, R404A, R1234ze, R1234yf, R290 and R744. The app converts it to tonnes CO₂e, sets the leak-check band, and writes the next leak check due against the unit in your asset register. It records leak details, gas added or recovered, and the engineer's and company's F-Gas certificate numbers. Reminders go to the owner as iPhone notifications at 90 days, 30 days and overdue, and in the iPhone app all of it works with no signal. Ask Joblogic to show you the same steps.
Does partial offline matter?
It depends where you work. If most visits are domestic and the phone has 4G at the boiler, partial offline is fine. If you service chillers on a roof, AHUs in a basement or gas in a plant room, it is not. A form that needs a connection to save is a form you fill in twice. The Maintivo iPhone app stores the whole job on the device, photos and signature included, and uploads when you are back in range. You can read how the leak-check interval is worked out before you test it.
What does Maintivo not do?
No scheduling or dispatch, no stock or purchasing, no CRM, no accounting and no reporting dashboards. No electrical forms, so no EICR and no Electrical Installation Certificate. No Play Store app: Android phones use the web app, which needs a connection. Maintivo produces and stores the record, and the owner sends it. The engineer signs it and remains the competent person. Maintivo never certifies anything.
The short version
Maintivo is a cheaper alternative to Joblogic for sole traders and small gas, heating, HVAC and refrigeration firms (the owner plus up to five engineers). It suits firms that need the CP12 and the F-Gas leak-check record done on site, rather than a full field service platform. It is an iPhone app, with a web app for Android and any browser, by Boroto Ltd that does the CO₂e conversion, the leak-check band and the next-due reminder. It works fully offline in the iPhone app and keeps engineers away from prices and invoices. It costs £34.99 a month plus engineer seats from £8.99, with no annual term. Firms that need Joblogic's scheduler, stock control or reporting should stay with Joblogic.

Common questions about Joblogic and Maintivo
Only for the inspection and compliance records. Maintivo does the CP12, the F-Gas leak check, the HVAC service sheets and the branded PDF. It does not do scheduling, stock, quoting or reporting. If your office runs on the Joblogic planner, keep it. If you mainly need the records done on site, Maintivo does that for less, with no term.
You might not. If it already works for you, stay. The reasons people move are the contract, the per-user price and the offline gap. Maintivo does the CO₂e conversion, the leak-check band and the next-due date on the iPhone with no signal, for £34.99 a month plus seats, cancel any time.
The Maintivo iPhone app captures the whole job offline: checklist, readings, photos and the customer signature. It uploads when the phone is back in range. The web app needs a connection. According to their website, Joblogic's offline working is partial at the time of writing.
For a small team, usually yes. Joblogic is from about £45 per user per month billed annually according to their website, so four users is about £2,160 a year. Maintivo for an admin plus three engineers is £59.98 a month, about £720 a year, with no annual commitment. Prices as published in September 2026.
