The iPhone app captures the whole visit offline, photos and signature included, and syncs it when you are back in range. Nothing is lost, nothing is re-typed. The web app needs a connection and keeps a draft in the browser.

Say it, don't type it

In the iPhone app, hold the button and describe the fault in your own words. It runs on Apple's on-device recogniser, so your voice never leaves the phone and it works in a ceiling void with no signal. You can dictate a finding; you cannot dictate a reading. When you dictate a note, numbers are swapped for placeholders before the optional AI tidies the wording (a typed note is sent as typed), and any suggestion that adds a number is rejected.
