This Cookie Policy explains how Boroto Ltd ("Maintivo") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, maintivo.com, and in the Maintivo web app at app.maintivo.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites work, remember preferences and understand how they're used. Similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) work in comparable ways.

How we use cookies on maintivo.com

We keep our use of cookies minimal. The categories we may use are:

• Strictly necessary, required for the site to function and be secure. These don't need consent.
• Preferences, your cookie choice (Accept or Essential only) is remembered in your browser's local storage, so the banner is not shown on every visit. This is not a cookie and is not sent to us.
• Analytics, help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Analytics cookies are set only after you click Accept on our cookie banner. We use two providers:
  • Google Analytics (Google): page views, time on page and which links are clicked, including clicks on the App Store link and on email, phone or WhatsApp links. Cookies: _ga and _ga_* (up to 2 years).
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): heatmaps, scroll depth and anonymised session replays, with text you type and other sensitive content masked by default. Cookies: _clck and _clsk (up to 1 year).

Your choices

On your first visit a banner offers Accept or Essential only. Until you choose, and if you choose Essential only, no analytics or session-replay cookies are set at all, and nothing from Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity is loaded. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, which reopens the banner. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Before you make a cookie choice, we count page views and a few clicks (such as a click on the App Store or web app button) through our own server, which passes an anonymous count to Google Analytics. No cookie or other identifier is stored on your device for this, your IP address is not passed on, and one page view cannot be linked to another or to you. If you click Accept, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are loaded and use the cookies listed above. If you click Essential only, nothing is counted from then on. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as Essential only.

If you choose Accept, we allow analytics storage only. Google's advertising settings (advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation) stay denied whatever you choose. This website loads no advertising tags, and we do not sell your data.

The web app (app.maintivo.com)

The Maintivo web app uses only what it needs to work. It counts anonymous usage events through our own server, which passes an anonymous count to Google Analytics: no Google Analytics script is loaded in the app, no analytics cookie or identifier is stored, your IP address is not passed on, and nothing is counted if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. It contains no advertising tools and sets no analytics cookies, so it shows no cookie banner.

• Sign-in cookies, strictly necessary cookies set by our authentication provider (Supabase) that keep you signed in. They are removed when you sign out.
• Local storage, kept in your own browser and not sent to us: your light or dark theme choice, whether you have dismissed the "install" prompt, drafts of reports you have started but not yet saved (dropped after 14 days), and short working notes the app needs, such as the list used to undo a client import.
• Sign-in and payment providers, if you use Sign in with Google or Apple, or pay by card on the Plan & billing page, those providers (Google, Apple, and RevenueCat and Stripe for card payments) may set their own strictly necessary cookies or local storage, for example to keep the payment secure and prevent fraud. Their use is governed by their own policies.
• Apple’s App Store banner, in Safari on an iPhone, the web app and this website may show Apple’s banner offering the Maintivo app. Safari shows it from a tag in our page. It sets no cookie for us and we receive nothing from it.

Third-party services

This website loads no web fonts or other resources from third parties until you accept the cookie banner, apart from the anonymous counts described above. When you send a message through our contact form, it is delivered by FormSubmit, a form-handling provider, which may set its own cookies or receive limited technical data; its use is governed by its own policy.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, including blocking them or deleting those already stored. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working. Guidance for common browsers is available at aboutcookies.org.

Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as our site or the technologies we use change. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
